Prepare and submit complete and accurate estimates for competitively bid Plan & Spec and at-risk Design/Build. Prepare and submit complete and accurate estimates for negotiated at-risk Design/Build projects. Prepare and submit budgetary conceptual estimates for traditionally delivered projects. Provide input for Construction Means and Methods at various stages of design development. Provide Value Engineering suggestions at various stages of design development to help project costs remain within budget expectations. Support Organizational objectives through the preparation of cost proposals including hard pricing information, construction scheduling, and project scope definition. Facilitate and/or participate in estimate reviews, project turn-over, pre-bid meetings, risk reviews, etc. Provide support to the Project Group at the field level in the preparation of Change Orders. Assist the Project Group in the preparation of Cost to Complete Estimates for construction projects at various levels of completion to assist in the forecast of profit and loss. Assist the Project Group as needed for procurement, schedule of values, and job budget preparation following a successful award. On a successful award audit all job documents and review with Team Members for issues of constructability in relation to planned time and costs. Ensures observance of the project specifications and notes any issues that carry a negative impact on the project. Provide information regarding the booked proposal/estimate and assist in identifying issues which may have a negative impact on the project objectives indicating deviations between the program and the work carried out and propose solutions and/or requests instructions to overcome these issues. Review and with the Project Managers input select vendors and subcontractors per the terms and conditions of the booked proposal/estimate. Minimizes the company’s exposure to risk on projects. Assure proposal/estimates are completed at or before the scheduled bid time/date. | ||||
